Analyst. Journalist. Advisor.

Beacon Turn offers research you can fund with confidence, stories worth assigning, pieces that get read, and calls made with an experienced read of the market. Independent, accessible, and ready to get to work.

Method

How the work gets done

I talk to buyers and practitioners, read the data myself, and tell you what I know and what I don't. Most projects start as conversations, because that's still the most reliable way to find out what people actually think. When an answer isn't solid yet, I say so and keep digging.

The person behind it

I'm Lance Haun

I run Beacon Turn, where I work as an analyst, journalist, and advisor covering work technology. I write The Turn most Tuesdays, I'm a columnist at Reworked, and I built the Workforce Data Explorer because I got tired of chasing numbers across fifteen government sites.

Before this I spent close to two decades in the industry: editor at TLNT and ERE Media, VP of market insights at The Starr Conspiracy, practice lead for research and insights at Rep Cap, and enough time with vendors and buyers to know how both actually decide.
